Minster of Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, has said the 2021 Science and Technology EXPO would showcase ideas, inventions and innovations that could transform Nigeria’s economy to a knowledge-based one. He stated this when he led management staff of the ministry on a facility tour of the venue over the weekend. The minister said the essence of the expo was to explore more ways to commercialise research by investors and innovators. He added that more wealth and revenues would be available to the nation when research ideas have been converted into products and services. “The best way to fight poverty is through commercialising research and design into products and services needed by the general population and creating more wealth,” Onu added.
